$1500 Budget Bike Battle Build Off Bracing Rules

The aim of Budget Bike Battle Build off Bracing is to encourage and enable affordable competition with a good group of riders. The point is to have fun riding shoulder to shoulder with your friends on similarly terrible bikes.

Bike Restrictions:

• Bike must cost less than 1500 dollars. Cash used to buy your bike must not exceed 1500 dollars. 1500 dollars should be the amount of money you spend to get your bike in a race ready state ready to roll out of the pits.
• No “trading up”, selling parts or using freebies to skirt the dollar amount. Spirit of competition boys and girls!
• No CC restrictions. If you can find a competitive litre bike for 1500 bucks or less, I don’t want to know what you did to get it.
• Items that are included in the 1500 dollars:
  • Tires
  • Brake Pads
  • Parts to make your bike run
• No restrictions on gear or auxiliary equipment (race stands, cleaning products, paint, grips) - If it doesn’t make your bike faster or run in the first place, have at it.
• If you want to use tires you already own, the group can discuss a dollar amount to assign them to keep things even.
• Example: I have supercorsas that I got for cheap, but that is a major advantage compared to other racers who did not have that deal available for good tires. So the group decides the tires are worth 300 dollars, and that amount is considered in the 1500 dollars.
• Tires must be DOT
• You may use a bike you already own, so long as the purchase price was less than 1500 dollars when you bought it and no other discounts were applied (free from a friend, just borrowing, my dad gave me this bike, etc.) OR the value of the bike is currently less than 1500 dollars, to be decided by the group.

Penalties

Over budget parties will be required to purchase beer on a scale according to how much over budget they are.

50-100 Dollars	12 pack, 1 track night
101-500 Dollars	12 pack, 2 track nights
500-1000 Dollars	12 pack every track night
1000+ Dollars	Pay for 1 track fee for lowest spender

Arbitration

Arbitration will be done by facebook poll, these rules aint set in stone - this is for fun and if rules need to change for fun to continue then rules will change!
